Introducing...Wrigley!

Here he is.....meet Wrigley! Thanks to all of you who voted for his name....we secretly wanted to name him Wrigley so we were really excited when the name won in the end....it was a close one!

He has only been home for a few hours, but so far he is doing great!

He loves to play!

He started to play tug of war with the blanket...so cute!

More pictures coming soon, I'm sure. Right now our little man is exhausted and taking a much needed nap in his bed! As for Pancake and Henry, they are actually doing really well! There were a few hisses, but so far they are being good boys. I hope it lasts!

Kitchen Pictures

Okay, finally we have some pictures of the kitchen! We finished painting and got a new dining room table. We are still working on getting new light fixtures (I hate the ones in there now!) and we are working on getting some more white chairs to go with the table so we can get rid of the black ones. Oh, and we still need a curtain for above the sink (hint hint mom!). But I can't wait any longer....so here you go! (You can see the before pictures by clicking here.)

My mom says I need more close up pictures, so here you go! I love this platter. When my mom was out here visiting we saw it in a shop and she offered to get it for me....and for whatever reason I passed. But as soon as we got home I told her that we should have bought that platter! Well, a few days after she went back to CA a package arrived in the mail for me....the platter! Don't I have the best mom? I think so.


Isn't this the cutest cake plate? My mom collects them...and I'm starting to too!


I have been collecting these Pyrex dishes for years. I have a couple boxes of the stuff back in CA.

One of my favorite wedding gifts...my red mixer. I've wanted one for years and years.

Here is the hallway and front door. My mom and the husband hung the photos...makes it so much more like home to have stuff up on the walls.

Happy Birthday to me

It's my birthday today. This is me at around 3 or 4. Lookin' good don't you think? Unfortunately this birthday probably won't involve any pony rides. Bummer.

Tigers Game

On Saturday our friends Mo and Ali invited us to go to a tigers game with them. It was my first time seeing the tigers play in person and the perfect excuse to sport my #14 Placido Polanco shirt in support of my favorite player!

The boys. The husband is wearing my hat in this photo. I searched the house all week for that hat and thought that I had lost it. Then I suddenly remembered that the husband was wearing a tigers hat last weekend. When I asked him where he got it he couldn't remember. Maybe because he was wearing my hat! Well, now it is his hat, so of course we had to buy me a new one!

Changes....

We've been spending a lot of time getting ready for our puppy to arrive next week. I've explained to the boys that they will be getting a new furry brother....they don't seem too happy about it. I just hope they don't hate him for too long!

The husband has been playing a ton of golf lately, so we thought it was time to invest in some good clubs. He has been using his old clubs for ten years and they were used at the time he got them. Needless to say it was time for a change!

Living Room Update

We have been busy around the house trying to get all of our little projects done before the puppy invades our lives. We've been slowly working on the living room. We changed the curtains to white and finally bought a slip cover for the red chair!

And we bought a new couch a few months ago.

We bought a new tv and cabinet. The old tv is in the family room, which is being called the "man room". The old tv cabinet is bigger than this one so it was moved into the man room too. Hopefully that room will be ready soon so I can post it here!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we had some friends over for burgers, corn on the cob, margaritas, and apple crisp. This was the first time we officially entertained guests in our new house and of course I completely forgot to take a single photo. Forth of July Fail. The thought didn't even cross my mind until I was cleaning up the kitchen the next day.

Besides my lack of photo taking we had fun! Our friends Brett and Karri came over with a yummy Australian salad and beet dip. And the husband's good friend Josh came over a little later as well. The husband was a margarita making machine! He even had to run to the store for a second bottle of tequila and ice because we drank so many....maybe that is why I forgot to take pictures? We played some games on the wii and ate yummy food....doesn't get much better than that.

Oh, and remember to vote for our puppy's name! Being a baseball player and all, the husband really wants to name him either Wrigley or Fenway!

Big News!

Guess what we did today? I'll give you a hint...it involved this little guy.

Ever since we bought our house the husband and I have been talking about how much we want to get a puppy. I've always wanted a golden retriever so we decided to start doing some research. Today went to a breeder and picked out this little guy! He is still a baby so he won't come home with us for two more weeks. Isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen? There were 10 puppies...I was in heaven. It was so hard picking one out! But in the end this little guy won both of our hearts.

So excited! Our little guy was pretty tired after all of the excitement! We can't wait to bring him home! Now, what should we name our puppy? Go to the top right of our page and cast your vote!

Last week we got a surprise in the mail....our wedding album! It turned out better than I could have imagined. All of the images were taken by Loon Lake Photography....they are the best!
